A fine mahogany sewing table with three drawers and silk upholstered bag. I believe this is a period early 19th century example, or possibly late 19th century reproduction. Quality construction with some 20th century restoration work. Handsome form and proportions.
Fresh from a wealthy Mendham, NJ estate that had many fine antiques. Three drawers with the top being fitted for sewing tools. Lower drawer is fitted with a silk bag to hold sewing essentials and needlepoint patterns. Notice the highly figured mahogany top.
Condition: Restored with later finish. Bag is a high quality replacement of an original. Exceptional condition with no major wear or damage. Fine example of the form with original brass pulls.
