1940s Edward Wormley for Dunbar, Writing Desk No. 4412 Mahogany Mid-Century Modern
Rare 1940s era Modern desk designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Coming from a NYC estate where it has been for many years. Originally made for Rowen-Keane Inc. of New York.
Single drawer to front center. Stamped on underside, still retains original paper tag.
Condition: Top surface has been refinished, but sides and base has not. Areas of the finish has slight discoloration. Severl veneer chips to the base edge, which is an easy repair. Desk will be mint with minor restoration work, or can be used as is. Drawer underside may be installed upside down, as the glue blocks are exposed. Structurally sound.
