Offered is a fine quality armillery sphere by Virginia Metalcrafters, late 20th century.  Made of bronze and patinated metal on an iron twig form stand.  Fresh from the garden of a local estate, it has taken on a nice patina over the years.  This sphere is modeled after one found in an English formal garden. 

Rare sphere by a well known maker that will look outstanding in your garden or interior.  Much higher quality than most found on the market.

Condition:  Overall excellent.  Normal patina from weathering.  Some light rust to stand and hardware.  

NOTE:  If being picked up locally, it will come with a concrete base, but if shipped, it will be taken completely apart.  Note that the twig form base twists apart at two joints.  The sphere comes completely apart as well for easy transport.  You will be requred to reassemble.
