A Louis XV Style Fruitwood Ladies Writing Desk by Kindel Grand Rapids 1970s Fine
Fine quality desk by Kindel Furniture company of Grand Rapids, MI. You can still buy this desk new from Kindel today (very expensive). The quality is outstanding, from the wood grain to the brass mounts. High gloss finish gives a great deal of sheen to the grain. Includes ones file drawer and original key.
Coming directly from a wealthy local estate where it had been purchased by a NYC decorator. Probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.
Condition: Main issue is warping to the top surface veneer from water (right side). This can be fixed and is reflected in the price. Really an outstanding piece.
