A Federal American Mahogany Chest of Drawers Empire / Classical Twist

Solid board top with turret corners.  Four drawers to a conforming case centered by spiral-twisted pilasters on turned post feet.  Original pressed brass pulls.

Provenance:  Fresh to the market from the family of Ellsworth Torrey of Weymouth, MA.

Condition:  Overall good condition.  One back foot loose (would need special treatment for shipping).  Old refinish.  Drawers open and close with ease.  Lower drawer with original paper lining.  Surface has a rich dark patina, which is only seen in person, hard to translate in photos.
