NOTE:  This listing is for one commode, but there is a near pair available (double price for pair).  The second one is slightly shorter (1-1/2") and has slightly different feet.  I can only assume these were custom ordered and for some reason they needed one to be slightly taller, but still wanted them to appear as a pair.

A stunning vintage Baker Furniture Directoire style commode purchased through a decorator for a large local estate in 1962.  Intended for a green bedroom, this was probably a custom order.  The drawer edges are trimmed in gold paint with solid brass hardware and brass bun feet.  Interior of the top drawer is fitted with compartments and removable trays.  Mahogany veneer with oak secondary.  Top drawers are fitted with removable sliding jewelry trays.

Marble is not attached, rests on finished top surface.  (two pieces)

Condition:  General wear from use consistent with age.  Some wear to interior of drawers, but nothing significant.
