Pair of Ebonized Chests w/ Brass Ring Pulls T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings Style, 1950s
Impressive pair of mid-century modern chests in the style of T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Recently professionally refinished in a dark ebony. Great Hollywood Regency look. The pulls are heavy solid white metal rings with a brass finish.
These chests are unmarked, but probably purchased from a NYC designers source in the 1950s. I have owned a similar set in the past from another NJ estate. They have a great look and go well as bedside tables for extra storage.
Condition: Professionally refinished. Floating bases were professionally rebuilt. Wear to the brass finish on the pulls. Interior of drawers show wear and old red paint.
