4 Vintage Black Lacquered, Gilt Neoclassical Chairs Ball Feet Klismos Regency Baker
These chairs are coming from a wealthy NYC 5th Ave. apartment. There were other pieces in the house by Baker, however these chairs are unmarked. They look similar to examples by Michael Taylor with the gilt ball feet. They are high quality and well made. I believe the upholstery is horsehair.
Beautiful lines and form. Fine carved and gilt splat. Black lacquered. Comfortable.
Condition: There are areas with chipping to the lacquered surface. General wear consistent with use. One chair is missing a small carved gilt element at the top of one leg (pictured). General wear to the edges, especially at the gilt extremities. All chairs are solid with no loose joints.

34" H x 20 1/2" W x 17 1/2" D x 19 1/2" Seat height
